John is a seasoned investment manager with 35 years’ experience managing multi asset class portfolios with a global perspective.
With verifiable achievement in researching and analysing successful investments, John brings an extensive background in equity and derivatives.
He has managed portfolios for financial institutions in the US, UK, Japan and Hong Kong. This includes the securities arm of quantitative hedge fund, D E Shaw and for the Financial Products arm of KBC Bank. He also has extensive experience on the buy side, managing portfolios for Swiss Re, as well as execution for Royal London.
Having traded every market-moving event since the 1987 crash – through 9/11, the ‘09 financial crisis and the current global pandemic, John is adept at navigating periods of extreme volatility and harnessing consistent returns.
He did this successfully as part of the proprietary trading group at multi-strategy investment firm, First New York LLC, delivering above market returns for 6 years, trading through periods of unprecedented market turbulence.
Damien has spent his entire 25 year career in the investment management business in both London and New York. His particular area of expertise is in value investing, primarily within the credit market in both Europe and the US. He has significant experience managing money for pensions, endowments, family offices and High Net Worth individuals.
Over the course of his career, he has built a long-term track record in generating consistent returns across multiple business and investment cycles. This has been achieved through a research intensive investment process and active trading and portfolio management.
Damien started his career with Barclays Capital in London in 1997 before moving to New York in 2002. He became Head of Special Situations Investments in 2005. In 2007, he joined Alcentra as Global Head of Special Situations based in London. Most recently, he was a Partner and Head of the London Office of Bardin Hill Investment Partners.
For 25 years Stephen has led and established innovative digital, media and technology businesses in international markets.
An experienced commercial leader growing company revenue from early stage, Stephen specialises in identifying emerging digital technologies that challenge industry legacies to transform customer experience.
Recognising digital properties as a new asset class as early as 2008, Stephen pioneered new business models to monetise branded virtual goods (today’s NFTs) and mobile-ready interactive digital assets at companies such as Stardoll and Adludio.
Aware of the benefits of blockchain technologies to society, Stephen gained the Blockchain Business Strategy qualification from Oxford University in 2018 and since then focused research and investment in the fields of digital identity and ESG.
